Dear Nancy Meyers,
I am afraid this is not going to be pleasant fanmail, thus I advice you to sit down or just throw yourself out of the next window entirely.
We all know that gender disparity runs rampant throughout the Hollywood studio system and that there are hardly any women directing movies. You have been called "the most successful woman director working today". This saddens and enrages me at the same time. It is said that you are "able to tap into the zeitgeist with stories that resonate with women." Apparantly women flock at the box-office to see your next 'funny and charming chick flick'. I see your movies as the most misogynist crap that has ever appeared on screen. Seeing a trailer - without knowing the film - for one of your movies, I am able to identify it within seconds as one of yours. The disgust and anger I feel is unparalleled. All the more gruesome is the fact that women are your audience, they watch with glee how they are mucked around, behave according to stereotypes, defining themselves just by some guy and generally lack backbone... the list is endless. The vicious subtlety with which you manipulate your viewers leaves me gaping for breath. That is why the wildest male fantasy torture porn bullshit is still harmless compared to your 'oeuvre'.
You, Mrs. Meyers, are the Antichrist.
