2006 feierte bei den Filmfestspielen in Cannes eine frühere Version von Quentin Tarantinos Kill Bill mit einer ca. vierstündigen Schnittfassung seine Premiere. Im Kino wurde diese allerdings nie gezeigt, weil seine Geschichte anschließend als Kill Bill: Volume 1 (2003) und Kill Bill: Volume 2 (2004) ins Kino kam.

2025 wurden für Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair die zwei Teile erneut zusammengefügt, wobei es auch neue Sequenzen (z.B. eine animierte Szene) in diese neue Fassung schaffte, die im Cannes-Cut nicht dabei gewesen war. (ES)
