Es handelt sich um mehrere sehr lange Einstellungen, die mir null gesagt haben. Am Anfang ein Typ, der die nächtlichen Straßen Manilas entlang geht, von der anderen Straßenseite aus gefilmt, dann ein beleuchteter Platz mit Verkehr drum herum usw. Ich habe mehrmals vorgespult. Vielleicht, wenn man Lav Diaz mag, wird man mit diesem Film auch etwas anfangen können. Ich finde allerdings den Vorteil bei Lav Diaz, dass seine Filme wenigstens von der Qualität der Aufnahmen sehr gut sind. Hier ist das nicht der Fall (oder ich hatte eine schlechte Auflösung erwischt).

Bei meiner Recherche zum Film bin ich auf diese Info gestoßen (was für mich den Film nicht besser macht, aber zumindest weiß ich nun, worum es geht):
“In 1897, Andrés Bonifacio, along with his younger brother Procopio, were executed in the mountains for treason and sedition. Bonifacio, founder of the Katipunan and one of the leaders in the Philippine Revolution of 1896, was accused of being a traitor to the revolution by a rival faction that included Andrés Aguinaldo, the first president of the Philippine Republic. There are a number of dramatic variations of the account of their execution. In 2006, a younger brother moves out of his parent’s house in the suburbs to a busier part of Manila. His older brother moved out of the country a few years ago.
The two have not seen each other in a while.
